Palin says she'll run in 2012 if there's nobody else: report

Palin told the tabloid-style entertainment news show yesterday, which is syndicated by CBS, that it also would depend on whether someone else was willing "to make the tough choices and not care what the critics are going to say about you."

"It's going to entail a discussion with my family (and) a real close look at the lay of the land, to consider whether there are those with that common sense, conservative, pro-Constitution passion," she said.

"If there's nobody else to do it, then of course I would believe that we should do this," she said in the interview from her home in Wasilla, Alaska.Palin has been buoyed since her losing run for the vice presidency in 2008 by support from the Tea Party, a right-wing populist movement galvanised by opposition to taxes, rising government spending and immigration reform.

She's also the star of an upcoming television series, "Sarah Palin's Alaska," on the TLC cable network, and she said she will be on Fox News Tuesday for the mid-term legislative elections.
