JOIN USHe was speaking at the inauguration of the Students Internet World programme organised by the Government Pre-University Girls College in association with the Zilla Panchayat, Information and Technology Department and Public Education Department.
He said education is essential for improving knowledge. In the modern world, computer has gained importance. He stressed on the need for computer education for rural children.
Government Pre-University Girls College lecturer Venugopa Chakravarthy said, “ In this competitive world, computer knowledge is essential. If not they will feel like illiterate” He advised students that information of the internet is also very important. Zilla Panchayat Vice President S Shivakumar, Taluk Panchayat President M Chikkamahadevu were also present.

The Internet World Programme for the current year will be held in schools and colleges till Saturday between 9 am and 5 pm. Students belonging to Government, aided, unaided schools from Class Seven to 10 can makes use of the programme.
