On Saturday, the third day of CAT 2010, 8,778 students registered for the entrance exam. Being the first day of the weekend, many professionals also appeared for the exam.
Sources said that many students avoided writing the CAT on the first two days as last year’s exam was dogged by technical glitches. The occurrence of technical problems was relatively higher on the initial days, hence not many students wanted to take chances this time.
No major technical glitch was reported at any of the ten test centres in the City. According to Soumitra Roy, Managing Director of Prometric India, the entrance exam concluded successfully. Candidates felt the section on Quantitative Ability continued to be the toughest this year too.
