Parthivan, a realtor, went missing on September 28 and his decomposed body was found near NICE Road on October 10. According to the Police, Raghunath used to work as driver for Parthivan and had hatched a conspiracy with his friend Kanan to kill his employer for car and gold ornaments. The duo took him to an isolated place in Viveknagar and after a booze session garotted him with a wire. The body was dumped near the NICE road. They again went to the spot the next day and tried to burn the body, the police said.

The police got suspicious about Raghunath and Kanan after they got to know that Parthivan was last seen with them on September 28. The police collected the call and SMS records of the victim and found that all the three were together till late in the night on that day. “We picked them up and during the interrogation they confessed to the crime. They had concealed the car in Salem, Tamil Nadu. Based on their information, we recovered Parthivan’s decomposed body after ten days,” the police said.

Four arrested

In another case, Viveknagar police arrested Manoj, Kiran, Ahmed and Babu in connection with a murder of Shivashankar, a cab driver, in September.

According to police, the four contacted Shivshankar over phone and hired his car to go for a round in the City on Sept 13. Around 7.30 pm, they overpowered him and strangled him inside the car. After dumping his body near Sarjapur, they went to Koramangala to rob a jewellery shop, but shelved the plan.
