Holiday for schools in fever-hit villages

District Health and Family Welfare Officer had recommended holiday to primary and high schools in Bhuvanahalli, Gadiaganur, Beluvaddigeri, Kotaginahalu, Dharmasagara, Kakubalu, Gundlavaddigeri, Papinayakanahalli and Vaddarahalli villages in view of largescale incidences of fever and other diseases. The holidays will be made up for in the coming days.

The teachers of these schools, however, have to attend to duty, maintain cleanliness in schools and take part in sanitation programmes in the villages. All the school buildings in the district are being whitewashed to maintain cleanliness, Deputy Director of Public Instruction Dr Balaraj has said.
