Palike repatriates four officials

The order comes a week after relieving Conservator of Forest N L Shantha Kumar of his duties from the Palike.

According to a press release issued by the Palike, Deputy Conservator of Forests (South) Puttaswamy, Assistant Conservators of Forests - T H Shivanna, Jagannath Rao and R Keshavamurthy have been sent to their parent department as the Palike did not require their services.Following a directive by Palike Commissioner Siddaiah, Shantha Kumar's office was locked and his office car was withdrawn.

Later, speaking to reporters Siddaiah said, the Palike will not tolerate any sort of indiscipline. The official should obey the instructions of their seniors.

On rumours doing rounds that Shantha Kumar is trying hard to get back into the BBMP, Siddaiah said, “There will be no changes in our decision. We do not need his services.”
