Foreigner held for selling cocaine

Identified as Zana Abdul Karim Coulibaly of Ivory Coast, the accused, according to the police, had 250 grams of cocaine and Rs 49,500 cash which were seized.

He was arrested in HRBR Layout while selling the contraband. He had come to Bangalore in 2007 on a student visa and was studying in third year BBM in Miranda Management College at Jeevan Bima Nagar and was a resident of Hegdenagar.

“Zana came in touch with a Nigerian national in Fusion Bar about ten months ago and joined the syndicate to earn extra money. On latter’s instructions, he used to visit Goa to procure cocaine from a South African national. His clients are mostly students and IT/BT professionals. Further investigation into the matter is on,” the police said.
