Govt has kept only 221 of 474 promises

Replying during question hour, zero hour and debates  on Tuesday, the Assurance Committee of the Upper House which has compiled the assurances made by the chief minister and his Cabinet colleagues, submitted its report to Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy.

Meeting once a week

Committee Chairman M C Nanaiah said the panel will soon follow up on the remaining 256 assurances made by the government.

The Assurance Committee convened meeting once a week and summoned officials from various departments to monitor the progress made by them to implement the government assurances, Nanaiah added.
