Sources here said that teams of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) raided multiple locations of Ramswaroop Ram, an executive engineer of the Public Works department, in Sarguja distict and recovered documents confirming that he owned assets worth not less than Rs.3 crores.
Ram is posted in a tribal dominant but backward area Ramanujganj in Surguja district, some 400 km north from Raipur.
EOW sources said that they were studying the documents recovered during the raid and the assets of the engineer may be more than estimated amount.
