Co-op varsity on cards

Minister for Co-operation Lakshman Savadi told reporters on Friday that the aim was to encourage in-depth study and research in the field of co-operation.

A memorandum will be submitted to the chief minister soon, urging him to set up the university, he added.

The Cooperation Department will observe “Sahakara Saptaha” (co-operation week) between November 14 and 20. The chief minister is scheduled to inaugurate the event to be organised at the Palace grounds in Bangalore on November 14. The valedictory will be held at Mysore on November 20.
