He was speaking after inaugurating the road concrete work to be taken up under the Tribal Development scheme at an estimated cost of Rs five lakh at Udeva village near here. Many politicians, who have experience and thorough knowledge in politics were sidelined, he lamented. Citizens cannot expect people-friendly development programmes from those who were elected by paying money to voters, he added.
Taluk Panchayat member S K Krishnappa said that members could not solve many problems in their respective wards as the sanctions were much below the requirement.
