Hosting its first Test in 22 years, Hyderabad has been fortunate that the fans have patronised the ground in large numbers. More than 30,000 soaked in the entertainment at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium on Sunday, and a decent turn-out is expected on Monday too as India press on for victory, but if the elements don’t relent, there could be some disappointment in store for the players and the spectators.

To celebrate the return of Test cricket to the city, the Hyderabad Cricket Association will honour its Test playing duo of VVS Laxman and Pragyan Ojha on the final day of the game, on Tuesday. Touch artiste Laxman is to be presented with a cheque for Rs 5 lakh, while left-arm spinner Ojha, who made his Test debut last year, will receive a cheque for Rs 3 lakh, an HCA press release said.
