Two hacked to death

According to police, the victims Babu alias Diamond Babu (35) and Munna alias Muniraju (24) both from K P Agrahara were involved in petty clashes in the area. They were having drinks at Dhruva Bar on Magadi Main Road when the assailants barged in and hacked them to death with lethal weapons.

“The gang members gave them no chance to escape or retaliate,” a bar worker told Deccan Herald. He said the attackers were in the age group of 25-30 years and fled the spot in a four-wheeler. DCP (West) S N Siddaramappa said they suspect the role of a few local residents.

Dowry harassment

Madiwala police have registered a case of dowry harassment against a man following details furnished by his three-year-old daughter. Syed Imran Pasha, the suspect, is absconding. It is said Imran was pestering his wife Seema to bring Rs 2 lakh from her parents.

He allegedly doused her with kerosene and Seema managed to escape as he was about to set her ablaze. She ran out of the house with her kerosene-soaked clothes. Rubiya, the daughter of Imran narrated the details to the police.
