Delivering the inaugural address, Bhat said that more researches should be carried out to bring out various advantages of arecanut. He said that there is a need for stabilisation of price of arecanut. Horticulture Department Deputy Director H N Hema said that the department will render financial support for the development of arecanut farming.
Campco Chairman S R Rangamurthy delivered the keynote address.
