Srikanth, a seventh semester student of National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysore, received a request from his father Janardhan to raise donation online towards the construction of a temple in Kyatanahalli their native.

You may be wondering why for a temple? His father was keen on building a temple in their home town as the village needed it. The reason behind the initiative was to bringback those having roots in the village and migrated to other parts especially abroad for  jobs, atleast for once in the name of temple ritual, recalled Srikanth.

When Srikanth confessed that he didn’t know how to create a website, his father encouraged him to learn the nitty-gritties. He could learn  the trade in just 10 days and in next 20 days, the website was ready. He could also raise `50,000 ( $ 1, 000 from five).

Later, Srikanth decided to float a company ‘Triple W Inc’ to develop web applications used in social networking sites such as facebook. He also started providing custom made e-commerce sites including shopping carts for small and medium enterprise businesses to sell their wares online.

Having started his company, three months ago, Srikanth said the response is overwhelming with steady stream of projects on hand. While multinational company CISCO has already recruited Srikanth for its operations, he  believes that experience for a few years in the industry is necessary to succeed. With NIE’s Entrepreneurship-Cell Onyx launching campus ventures to promote Entrepreneurship among students, Srikanth decided to include his venture under Onyx, which he thinks will provide him the opportunity of increasing his network.

You can reach him on www.triplew.co.cc.
