Barring a few officers, majority of the officers faced the wrath of Justice N K Patil and Yellappa Reddy who had to remind them to file affidavits first, besides verifying whether competent authorities have put their signatures.

Peeved about the ‘casual’ appearance of Chief Conservator of Forests Ajai Misra and B J Hosmath and Conservator of Forest Ravi, Justice Patil gave them a class on ‘dress code’ re-iterating that they are appearing before the Court which was called the ‘Lok Adalat’.

“Your attitude needs a makeover and, you need to understand what terms can be used in the court”, Justice Patil told Misra.

Continuing, he charged the officer saying ‘there seems to be no code of conduct in the department and that makes us wonder what kind of an officer you are!’
