Woman held for theft

The arrested has been identified as Reshma (30), a resident of Gopalpura on Magadi Road.

On a tip-off, police took Reshma into custody for interrogation on Tuesday evening when she was found standing suspiciously holding a plastic cover in front of a jeweller’s shop at Gopalpura. When the police searched the cover, they found jewellery in it. However, she failed to give a convincing reason why she was carrying the ornaments.

After a thorough interrogation, she admitted to having stolen them from a house at Yeshwantpur recently, police said.
