Govt placates 'saviours'

S V Ramachandra, ex-Congress MLA, has been appointed chairman of Hutti Gold Mines. Former Channapatna JD(S) legislator M C Ashwath is appointed chairman of Kavika and former Cong legislator M Narayanaswamy is appointed chairman of Karnataka State Warehouse Corporation.

The government has given similar rank to five MLAs who head various boards and corporations.
