Ashoka launches website of Karnataka Exhibition Authority

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Mysore Division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has made remarkable progress.

The State government has built seven ultra-modern bus terminals at a cost of ` 110 crore. A number of hi-tech buses are plying on different routes in the State.

Hitherto, the officials of KSRTC used to go to other States to study the functioning of State Transport Corporations there.

But now it is vice-versa. “Our endeavour is to make the State transport a role model for others in the country.

On police department, Ashoka said steps are being initiated to modernise the Karnataka Police Academy. The candidates selected for police departments of the entire country and also from abroad are coming here to undergo special training.

They were bringing good name to the academy by doing their duty effectively.

On this occasion, Dr Lata Rajashekar and social activist, Satyappa were felicitated.
MLC Thontadarya, councillors Nagendra, Parthasarathy, Mysore Lac and Paints Chairman M V Ravishankar and KEA CEO M V Hemanth Kumar  were present.

KEA Chairman B P Manjunath presided.
