Lokayukta notice an indictment
Last Updated 28 November 2010, 18:24 IST

“The Lokayukta has issued notice to Yeddyurappa. It is nothing less than indictment in the denotification cases.

The Justice Santosh Hegde has also made some serious allegations. The CM should take a moral responsibility and resign,” he told reporters here on Sunday.

He ridiculed the CM for announcing a CBI inquiry against his family members and dared him to make public tender notifications and awarding of tender for the construction of High Court circuit benches in Dharwad and Gulbarga.

“I have documents to prove irregularities in awarding the tender during the period of Yeddyurappa as finance minister,” he said.

Revanna said he was ready for any kind of investigation against any of his members of family. In past, Veerendra Patil tried out the same but ultimately resogned. Yeddyurappa would be declared guilty after all the investigations are completed,” he said.

On CM’s statement about ordering a probe into sanctioning money for the construction of an outer ring road in Hassan, he said any project with  ` 5 crore plus investment require the approval of the Finance Minister.

Yeddyurappa was the finance minister of State when the ` 130 crore project was approved. But, there has been no progress in the work so far, he added.

Revanna urged Yeddyurappa order a probe into the construction of ring road in Shimoga without acquiring land and Dandavathi project.

On the BJP’s advertisement campaign accusing irregularities in site allotment in Mysore, he asked the CM to cancel allotment if any sites or land have been allotted to any of his family members.

Gowda ridicules

On Saturday,  MP and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda rubbished the CM’s threat and said he had no objection for any kind of probe.

“Let him(Yeddyurappa) order a CBI probe or a probe from scotland yard police. We have no objection,” he replied to a query here.

The Chief Minister had said that the Government would handover the irregularities in allotment of tender in the upper Krishna project, completed during the period of Deve Gowda as PWD Minister and other cases against H D Kumaraswamy to the CBI.

On the allegations of allotment of sites in Mysore he said his family was ready for any probe.
