Addressing a press meet here, Association office-bearers Cheranda Nanda Subbaiah said “no public discussions have been held on world heritage sites.
Neither the MPs nor MLAs have any information on the proposal. The project was a plot by the environmentalists. The proposal should be dropped.”
Sangha President C M Kaveriappa has written a letter to UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova on November 7.
