Residents urge restoration of power

Following the collapse of an electric pole, the Bescom authorities had snapped the power supply at the Mohalla. Despite submitting memorandum, the authorities had not repaired the power cables, said the protesters.

In the meantime, Bescom officer Gul Shivra alleged that a resident had “misbehaved” with him and until the residents tender an apology for the act, he would not discharge his duty. “This forced us to block the road,” said councillor Jaffer.

Traffic was affected for over one hour on Bangalore, Kolar Gold Fields and Kolar roads.
