“I have been bowling quite well in the last few matches. But wickets didn’t come my way. I hope I can continue this form in the coming matches as well and contribute to the team’s victory,” Mithun said after Karnataka’s 67-run win over Himachal Pradesh.

On the next match of Karnataka against Baroda in Mysore from December 8, Mithun said, “It might be a flatter wicket in Mysore. Here we got a lot of assistance from the pitch. But bowling on a flatter wicket will be a lesson because when we get into the knockout stage, we might have to play on a shirtfront. But we are confident of delivering,” Mithun said.

Karnataka coach Sanath Kumar too was happy with the result. “It was a good performance from us, especially on this kind of wicket. Manish (Pandey) and Stuart (Binny) were exceptional and their innings was of really high class.”

Sanath added that they had been working on the issue of lack of runs from the top order.
“We have been looking into that area. In the last couple of matches, the middle-order has been put under pressure but they responded well. Hopefully Robin, who suffered a hit on the finger while keeping, will be ready for the Baroda match,” he said.
