Three die, five hurt in mishap

The deceased and the injured are from Tirumalapura of Hessarghatta in Bangalore. Nagaraj and his family members were returning after visiting Mysore, Dharmasthala and Subramanya. The victims are identified as Shashi (25), the car driver, Nagaraj (49), car owner and Hanumantharaju (29). While the car driver died on the spot, Nagaraj breathed his last on the way to hospital and Hanumantharaju succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The police had a tough time in extricating the car driver’s body that was struck to the seat.
The injured, Nagaratna, Mamata, Lakshman and Satish were being treated at the district hospital.

The condition of two persons is said to be critical. On receipt of information, Traffic Police Inspector Prashanth and others rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
