The students have a unique bonding with the lecturers and feel at home here.

Ask the students about the one thing they like most about their college and their answer is unanimous, “APS is known for its teachers in the commerce stream and this was reason enough for us to join the college. We don’t feel that we are in a college as all the lecturers treat us like their own kids. The campus is green and cool and our seniors are very friendly.”

About her favourite hangout in the college, Khushboo S, a final year B Com student, says, “My favourite place is the katte near the entrance, where we sit and chat and celebrate birthdays. We also hang out at the quadrangle to discuss our new projects, plan to go for a movie, outing or simply sit and talk. We also take pictures here to cherish the memories of college days.”

“We also hang out on DVG Road which is a great place and munch on the bhelpuri available on the roadside,” says Chetan Kumar H M, another B Com student.

Most of the boys spend their time at ‘Bugle Rock Park’ and in the college corridors.
“We can be seen in the corridors of the college since it is fun to tease people walking around, and to have fun with friends. We do it in a lighter vein and nobody feels offended, says Prabhakar P, a degree student.

When asked whether they go out for excursions during vacations, they say that those are the most awaited days. Says Bhuvaneshwari J, a commerce student, “We just can't wait for holidays. We have travelled to many places. One-day trips are a ritual here. We have gone to Talakadu, Wonder La, Innovative Film City and many more. During this vacation, we are planning to go to Goa and Mangalore.”

“Our principal P Krishnamurthy is also very encouraging and friendly. He motivates us a lot to take part in extra-curricular activities and cultural events. In fact, we even celebrated Ganesha festival this year on a large scale which was organised by the students. That way our freedom is never curbed. It gives us great joy in doing something for our college all by ourselves,” says Madhavi, another student.

Lastly, the students say that the college is a heaven for them since it has given their life a new dimension. It’s a wonderful world filled with life’s smallest
pleasures and joys. Our

college is a paradise in itself,” sums up Vishwas, a B Com student.
