Goutham (71) and Sanjan (25) were the base around which Carmel attempted a successful chase, and managed to get within two runs of the target. But with Max Muller’s Manjunath (4/40), Vinay (2/19) and Chethan (2/46) spitting venom, the chase was cut short in the 44th over.
