Somanna to revamp Civil Supplies department

The minister, reacting to a Deccan Herald report that appeared on Monday, said for many years the jurisdiction of offices of the department were not clearly demarcated. He had taken Cabinet’s approval to divide the City into six zones and each would be headed by a deputy director.

“It is still in the preliminary stages. We have not yet decided to transfer the officials,” he said.

The minister said he would take appropriate action if instances of raising funds, if any, were brought to his notice.
