In a press release issued here on Friday, FKSLOAA president G R Shanmugappa has said that the increase in diesel prices, just a day before the parliament session, is a mockery of democracy.
“Diesel is predominantly used by industry, public transportation and agriculture. An increase in these three sectors, which provide maximum employment to the common man, besides contributing maximum revenue to exchequer, was not needed,” Shanmugappa said.
FKSLOAA members will meet Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Kamal Nath to discuss the issue.
