Food poisoning: 40 villagers take ill in Hassan taluk

They were admitted to the District Hospital following complaints of vomiting.

Doctors suspect food poisoning to be the reason for the people to take ill. A few villagers said that they had consumed non-vegetarian food at the ‘bigrara oota’ hosted by Guru, a resident of the same village.

Subsequently, some people complained of nausea, but didn’t consider it serious enough to be treated at the hospital.

Out of danger

Later, when some more people became sick. they  were immediately rushed to the district hospital in Hassan for treatment.The villagers are being treated by doctors at the District Hospital. Doctors said that all of them are out of danger and are likely to discharged in a day or two.
