"Indian workers emigrate every year for overseas employment in different sectors including manufacturing industry. During 2009, about 610,000 workers emigrated ... and of these about 90 percent (went) to the Gulf countries," Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi told the Rajya Sabha.
