CET exams commence

Physics and Chemistry examination to be held today

Second PU students wishing to pursue professional courses, attended the CET exams which were held state-wide in Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Kolar Gold Fields on Wednesday.

There are total six examination centres in Kolar district. Total 2,784 students will be appearing for the CET examinations. Out of them, 2,317 students wish to opt for Life Sciences and 2,693 students will be appearing for Mathematics exams, according to Deputy Director of Pre-University Education Department M Kadarivelu.

The examinations for Physics and Chemistry will be held in the morning and afternoon of Thursday, respectively. The Government Boys Pre-University College, Mahila Samaj PU College, Methodist Pre-University College and Government Women’s College are the examination centres in Kolar and Kolar Gold Fields Pre-University College and Jain Pre-University College are the examination centres in Kolar Gold Fields, the deputy director informed. No illegal activities have been reported in the examinations , M Kadarivelu stated.

Chikkaballapur

Nearly 2,144 students took up the exam in four exam centres in Chikkaballapur. Off the 2,144, 992 wrote exam at Government Pre-University College, 416 at Pachagiri Pre-University College, 464 at Sir M V Pre-University college and 272 of them took the exam at Poornaprajna Pre-University College, said Y Nataraj, In charge Deputy Director of PU Education Department .

On Wednesday Biology exam was held in the morning and Maths in the afternoon. On Thursday Physics exam will be held from 10.30 am to 11.50 am while Chemistry exam will be held from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm, he added.
