"Pakistani terrorists killed my husband, Digvijay Singh is wrong," said Kavita.
"No Hindu outfit is connected with my husband's killing. Do not link his death with threats from Hindu organisations. The statement can mislead people," she added. Earlier Saturday, Singh said that Hemant Karkare had spoken to him hours before he was killed in the terrorist attack on Mumbai in 2008.
The Congress general secretary claimed that Karkare was under threat from those opposing the Malegaon blast probe, which he was heading as the ATS chief.
"I had spoken to Hemant Karkare only two hours before he was killed. He had told me how his family and his own life were constantly threatened from people who were annoyed by his investigations in the Malegaon blasts," Singh said.
