He was addressing a gathering at the Government Girls PU College in Malur. Prior to it he visited various schools and colleges in the taluk.
No infrastructure
The government has failed in providing basic infrastructure to the government and aided schools and colleges, he complained.
“In order to understand the necessities of the educational institutions, it would be better to have those elected from teachers constituency as educational ministers,” he suggested.
Mid-day meals
He urged the government to extend the mid-day meal programme to pre-university classes too.
He called upon the students to shun inferiority among them and aim high.
