Speaking on the theme “Elderly and Youth” at a programme organised by Vishwas Trust and Human Rights Cell of St Aloysius College to commemorate World Human Rights Day, Dr Ravindra said that human rights of the elderly in our nation is being violated by the youngsters.

“In the name of enjoying our basic rights, we are not allowed to violate others rights which includes liberty, equality and justice. In fact, a remedial clause mentioned in Article 32 of the Indian Constitution speaks against enjoying ones right by exploiting others rights,” he said.

Pressurising on the need for respecting the rights of elderly generation, he warned the human right violators of being put up with severe punishment for violating their rights. One may be succumbed to lose his own human right if he tries to violate others’ rights, informed Dr Ravindra.
