They have been creating fashionable trends by blending different clothing.

The girls here like to sport outfits that are comfortable and trendy. “Though we are not that bothered about what we wear, we always look for factors like comfort and decency.

Dressing is a personal thing but in a social environment like college, we should consider many aspects before zeroing in on any particular outfit,” says Asama, one of the students.
Jeans is the only thing that is common among these girls, who also like to wear kurtas and different tops with it. “Some girls are fond of ‘kurtas’, while some others like tunics and shirts. But jeans is something that we can’t do without,” says Aishwarya.

True to her words, on this campus, one gets to see many kinds of tops, ranging from t-shirts to formal wear. “We purchase these from Commercial Street, Koramangala and Malleswaram. For formal wear, we go for branded ones. We don’t like to spend blindly on anything just for the sake of fashion. They should provide value for money,’’ says Farheen.

Stoles are quite popular here and are worn with different outfits. “A stole goes well with kurtas, T-shirts and tunics and is a must-have in our closet. It can be worn in many ways and for any occasion,’’ Umme reveals.

These apart, these girls keep on experimenting with bracelets, fancy watches and earrings. Colourful bangles, different nail paints, fancy  rings and anklets are also preferred by many. Shoes are out of fashion here and its place has been taken over by flat footwear like sandals and pumps.

“In college, everything becomes news, from the clothes you wear to the kind of bags you have. So it is important to strike a balance. Girls who travel by public transport, should be cautious about how they dress. So we dress in a modest manner,’’ opines Reena.
