The $3 billion networking company’s Indian unit performs ‘full spectrum’ of services to its parent, ranging from hardware and software development to product development. “We had opened our third facility on January this year with 300 seats. We have already overshot the capacity and expanding space to manage our further growth,” Ravi Chauhan, MD – India and SAARC, told Deccan Herald.

He declined to indicate the number of employees the company was planning to hire and said the actual increase in the headcount had always exceeded projections. Juniper VP Stefan Dyckerhoff  said IEC had contributed substantially to the conceptualisation and delivery of T4000 router, the company’s new top-end product.  Sridhar Sarathy, VP – India operations, agreed that it was possible to conceptualise enterprise products for western markets from India. While the market has globalised, the Indian engineers have also matured in the last five years, he said.
