The energy packed fest that had more than 100 participants from 25 colleges across the City was full of management games and fun activities.

Spoorthi not only helped students in enhancing their managerial skills but also gave exposure to budding professionals to understand the different facets of management studies.

With an aim of scaling new heights, the enthusiastic students took part in a plethora of events which captivated the innovation and creative spirit of future managers.

The temperature soared high when student from different colleges debated on a pre-decided topic to prove their point.

Sahana and Avnav from Christ Junior College had the last word on the topic and grabbed the first prize in The Big Fight.

What does it take to be the Best Manager? Smriti from SBMJC, V V Puram had the answer and won the title of  Best Manager defeating candidates from other colleges.

Her college also beat off intense competition to claim a medley of prizes at the fest and walked off with the overall championship.

In the crisis management event, the participants dealt with an issue that threatened to harm the good repute of their organisation.

Vijay, Aishwarya, Anisa, Ramita from JNC V V Puram did their college proud by winning the first place in crisis management.

“Management fests are normally conducted at graduate and postgraduate levels. Instead of only having entertainment we thought of doing something which will provide practical knowledge. For the first time, pre university students have battled it out for the coveted Best Manager title,” said Balaji, vice president of the Commerce Forum called Aritra which organised the fest.

“These events help the students understand the pressure of corporate life, the importance of team work and to assess potential threats and find ways to avoid them in an organisation,” opined Rachana Joshi, a second year commerce student and the president of the Commerce Forum. Along with participating in events and enjoying the awesome dance fillers, the contestants did not miss the opportunity to relish a range of delicacies and shopping experience at the stalls put up by the students outside the venue.
