Now that the CJI of the apex court himself informed the media that a particular lawyer telephoned the judge of the Madras High Court and not the minister, the doubt that a particular minister involved in the telephonic conversation will fall to the ground and that the alleged influencing the judge for a favour shifts to the lawyer in question.
Whatever may be the case, influencing a judicial officer in the administration of justice is a serious offence and the law will its own course.
