Set right the irregularities, students tell the authorities

They urged for the appointment of efficient warden and cooks, along with a full-fledged library and also releasing of the deposit amount earmarked for students. Cleanliness should be maintained and other anamolies in the hostel should be sorted out with immediate effect, they further demanded.

They came down heavily on District Social Welfare Officer for not taking any action on some persons who created ruckus under the influence of liquor, in front of the hostel  in couple of days ago. The students have been consuming sub-standard food due to the negligence of the government in keeping tab on the activities inside the hostels.

This has affected their studies and health. Besides, toilets do not get cleaned ever and reek quite a bit, they bemoaned.

They threatened to intensify the protest against the district administration, if their demands are not met.
