12-year-old son of constable beaten to death

Vikash, son of Head Constable Kamlesh Dohra, had last night gone to attend a birthday party with his friends in Vijay Nagar area but when he did not return his family filed a complaint with the police, Superintendent of Police Avdesh Kumar Vijeta said.

After a massive search, the police found the boy's body in a nearby area, he said.

After a preliminary investigation, the police nabbed three persons -- Sandeep, Shambhoo and Sudhir-- who had reportedly confessed that they killed the boy over an enmity with the constable's family and later threw the body.

The body has been sent for the post-mortem, and further investigations are on, police said.
