Recently, the truck which was on its way to Mangalore from Maharashtra, had capsized while the driver negotiating a curve on the Charmadi Ghat. Although, the police tried to lift the truck with the help of the cranes they had failed in their mission. This morning, two cranes with 50 tonne capacity were specially brought from the MRPL and lifted the truck. This had thrown traffic out of gear for around two hours.With the clearing of the truck, the traffic on the national highway came back to normal.
