Addressing reporters here on Monday, he said under the ITC programme computers are distributed to the selected schools every year. However, the state government has failed to implement the programme this year.

He said the government has failed to bring out ‘Appendix E’ of the PWD for the year 2010-11. The ‘Appendix E’ provides complete details of the works to be undertaken by the PWD during the year. Only those works which are listed out in the Appendix E will be undertaken by the PWD. At the same time, the government has failed to pay the contractors who had undertaken development works for PWD,” he added.

“Though the government promised to release Rs 17 crore for the works to be undertaken for the World Tulu Convention last year. However, it has released only Rs 3 crore so far,” he added. Stating that the ZP and TP elections must go beyond the party lines, he called upon the voters to exercise their franchise to defeat corruption in the society. “The state government had not undertaken any development works in the State. It was involved in fooling the people of the State,” he added.
