It is a matter of just one big partnership: Harris

Harris said South Africa have won Test matches from similar situations and there was no reason why they cannot do it again.

"We are very confident as we still have seven wickets in hand. It is just matter of getting one big partnership going. (Jacques) Kallis and AB (de Villiers) are quality players and they will do it for us," Harris said at the post-match press conference.

"We are confident of chasing down the required runs. As far as I know we have not buckled down under pressure in Test cricket. Nine out of 10 in situation like this, in Test cricket, we have come on top. We have done it in the past. No reason why we cannot do it again over here," he said.

Harris saluted veteran Indian batsman VVS Laxman for his "special" knock of 96 under pressure to set a target of 303 for the Proteas to win.

"He (Laxman) is class player, we all know that. He played nicely and fortune also favoured him. But I think you make your own fortune too. His knock was special because it was played under pressure," he said.

Asked about the exchange of few words between his captain Graeme Smith and Indian paceman S Sreesanth just before tea break, Harris said, "We all know that normally Smith never reacts on the ground but I am sure he must have something personal. If Sreesanth has done that it's not great for him to do that. If he wants to do that he can do that.

"The series is being played in good spirit. Remember number one and number two teams are playing against each other so you have to play hard, but you should not get personal."

Pacemen have taken the lion's share of wickets that have fallen till the end of the third day, but Harris said the Kingsmead pitch was good for spinners also.

"I think there is bit of bounce. Rather then turn bounce is creating that magic when spin bowler is bowling. Harbhajan used that bounce to his advantage in the first innings. Bowling in right areas is the key to success."
