'Prateik is my partner in crime'

She got a big screen break with Kiran Rao’s directorial debut Dhobi Ghat and a friend for keeps in her co-star Prateik Babbar, 24, courtesy the movie.

“Prateik is my peer, my colleague. He is my age. We listen to the same kind of music, we are interested in the same kind of fashion. So he is sort of my partner-in-crime. We are both different and reclusive,” said Monica.

“We are supporting each other and calling each other every day. I have found a really good friend in Prateik. He is going to be a big star as a result of this film,” added the 28-year-old.
The movie hits the screens on January 21. Produced by Aamir Khan, Dhobi Ghat also stars Aamir and debutante Kriti Malhotra.
