Speaking to reporters after the swearing-in, Singh spoke of a “more expansive exercise" kindling hopes of many ministerial hopefuls who missed out this time.
The revamping has left some unhappy. Beni Prasad Verma, who was inducted into the Union Council of Ministers in the rank of Minister of State (Independent Charge) in Steel ministry, appears to be sore that he has not been made a Cabinet minister.Verma was closeted with close supporters after the swearing-in and did not accept any greetings.
