Physio-week from today

Informing the same to media persons, Dr Susan Varghese said the Physio-Week will be inaugurated with the fruit distribution to patients at Government Wenlock Hospital at 9 am on January 21. MCC Mayor Rajani Duganna will be the chief guest.

On January 22, a blood donation camp will be held at Government Wenlock Hospital at 9 am. The blood donation camp will be inaugurated by SP Dr Subramaneshwara Rao. It will be the 1000th unit of blood collected by the group.

On January 23, the Physio Treasure Hunt and Physiotherapy camp will be held at Vikas College of Physiotherapy at 9 am. The treasure hunt will be flagged off by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar.

On January 24, pre conference on different topics will be held in different venues.

Conference on “Recent advances in cardio pulmonary physiotherapy,” “Role of physiotherapy in ICU” and “Role of investigation for physiotherapy” will be held at Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy and will be inaugurated by DC Subodh Yadav at 9 am.

Conference “Recent trends in sports physiotherapy,” “Exercise prescription for sports person” and “Rehabilitation protocol following injury” will be held at Nitte College of Physiotherapy and will be inaugurated by Nitte University Chancellor Dr Vinaya Hegde.

“NDT Approaches,” “Management protocol” and “Introduction to NDT” will be held in Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy and will be inaugurated by Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat.

The 7th All India Physiotherapy Conference will be held on January 25 at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre. The conference will be inaugurated by Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh and will be presided over by MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik.

The final event of the Physio-Week is the post conference consisting of two concurrent sessions on January 26.
