The event will be held on January 26, 6.30 pm at Chowdiah Memorial Hall. The series, in its inaugural edition last year, featured Shivkumar Sharma and Ustad Zakir Hussain who came together after a long gap.

Portraying music through such rare combination of great artistes has been the spirit behind the The Splendor of Masters.

Renowned for her passionate performances, amazing range of colours and incredible technique, 29-year-old Gwyneth Wentink has performed solo recitals and solo concertos with top orchestras all over the world.

This dedicated chamber musician is no stranger to India. A student of Chaurasia, Gwyneth has been playing in concerts in India since 2005 and has successfully brought harp into the world of classical Indian music.

Chaurasia said, “For musicians, their religion is music — that is what we believe in India. Music has no language, nationality and all artistes speak a common language of music, which we hope to bring forth in this concert.”

“Gwyneth is a wonderful musician from Holland and a great student as well. The last time we played together in Mumbai, it was so well received. So I’m sure this would be very successful again.”

An excited Gwyneth said that it was indeed an honour to be back again in India to play at The Splendor of Masters concert with Chaurasia.

Tickets are available at Chowdiah Hall (23445810); Landmark, Koramangala (42404240); Odyssey, Indiranagar (42115341), K C Das, St Mark’s Road (25592021).
