Be parents' voice, SDMC told

He was speaking at a taluk-level educational conference of SDMC presidents and secretaries held at Chilakalanerpu village. Shetty said that Kali-Nali which is currently implemented is not a new plan. It is just a revised method of teaching. Each school should encourage Kali-Nali activities, encourage writing skills and should assign students to write copy books regularly. School property belongs to everybody. We are largely responsible for its protection, he added.

 BEO K Manjunath said “We should develop various techniques to teach students. Kali-Nali is one such effort initiated by us. Compensation discourse should be made compulsory for students, who have been deprived of basic education facilities. In case, all the students secured ‘A’ grade, compensation discourse is not necessary.”

Conference discussed matters related to Kali-Nali including other educational schemes. Gram Panchayat President R T Prasad presided over the conference. District Primary School Teachers’ Association Secretary Gopal Reddy, Taluk coordination officer Umadevi, CAEO Ramana Reddy were present  on the occasion.
