In an attempt to promote grills and give a momentum to barbecue grilling, The Oberoi, in association with Weber, is treating the food aficionados in the City to an assortment of grilled food with special marinades and sauces at its Polo Club.

On till February 28, this promotional event will have an array of royal grilled food like Bavarian Meat Loaf, Corn Fed Chicken, Lobster, Australian Pork Spare Ribs and German Bratwurst.

And the vegetarians need not feel left out as the chefs have handpicked fresh seasonal veggies and dairy products with imported cheese for them.

“This is the time when we get fresh vegetables and the freshness of the season is reflected in the quality of meat, poultry, mushrooms and other vegetables.

So the ideal way to enjoy these subtle flavours is to wash them down with some fine wines and grill them for fine cooking,” says chef Jaydeep Patil. Some unique marinades and sauces, chosen by Jaydeep, were also on offer like Chimichuri from Latin America, Teriyaki from Japan, Chermoula from the Mediterranean region.

And the highlight of the promotion included Harissa Spiced Grilled Lobster, Jamaican Blackened Spiced Corn Fed Chicken, Barbecued Mushroom and Fresh
Peppers.

“Grilling is always associated with an informal outdoor ambience. In that sense, the Polo Club provides a great feel to the grilling experience with its lush gardens and serene environment.

And the most thrilling aspect of grill is that the food is prepared right in front of one’s eyes and hence, offers a customised taste.

Though grilling is mainly associated with non-vegetarian food, we are now focussing more on the vegetarian section as well. I hope Bangaloreans will make the most of this occasion to satiate their love for grills,” says Aslam Gafoor from Weber India.

On the first day, an enticing range of international grilled food like Chicken Skewer,
Angus Sirloin and Scampi gave a wholesome experience to the ‘carnivores’ who were present at the occasion.
