Chandigarh Police arrest two women for molesting another

  The two women, Geeta and Gopali, are residents of the Phase-I industrial area. They entered the victim's house in Air Force colony Saturday to steal some household goods.

"The victim spotted them and tried to raise an alarm. However, the miscreants overpowered her and molested her," said Jaspal Singh, the case's investigation officer.

"The victim immediately informed the police control room. We have arrested the two women.

They are booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code," Singh said.

He added: "We had also detained the husbands of Geeta and Gopali but released them after brief questioning. We suspect that the women had also indulged in other robbery cases that occurred in this area during the past few months."
